Sterling Ridge - Quality Retirement and Lay-Up for the Quality Horse
Give your horse all of the care and TLC in retirement, or during lay-up, that he had when he was showing. Southern Pines, in the gorgeous Sandhills of North Carolina, is the ideal location.
Sterling Ridge, just off Youngs Road, offers lovely manicured paddocks and fields with new board fencing. Horses are turned out in pairs. Each horse has its own large stall and comes in at night in winter and during the day in summer. Horses are given personal attention: groomed, feet picked, fly sprayed, blanketed, fly sheets/masks, etc. We accommodate custom diets, medications, leg care, and excellent veterinary services and clinic are within 4 miles. Hooves are trimmed/shod every 4 - 6 weeks, as needed. We can body clip or leg up your horse if you want to come into town and take him for a ride in the 4000 acre Walthour-Moss Foundation.
